I know that the DUmmies often revert to living in their alternate reality in which Jed Bartlet is the president.

Isn’t that one reason why they brought back Murphy Brown? These same sorts of people longing for the days when that many more people trusted ones like Dan or Tom or Peter or Diane and Charlie and Bryant and Katie and the rest of their ilk.

The problem is the liberals, the Democrats live in an alternate World, and never come up for air.

I can forgive the Lefties for this. 24 and Justified will always have a warm place in my heart....

Ditto. But here in the Silly-con Valley I have to hear from libs all the time who presume I knew each episode by heart.

I’m surprised they didn’t try to spin Téa Leoni’s “Madame Secretary” into an alternate universe for liberals where Hillary won.

How desperate do you have to be to work for Variety and write about a 20 year old network TV show....
To: Drew68
That seems to be what it’s about. They even have Leoni dressing like the Butcheress from what commercials I’ve seen. They’re so transparent.

Done. According to a promo, this season starts with Madam Secretary as the newly elected president of the United States.

Didn’t Elaine rise to the Presidency in VEEP?
Took but a few episodes of that show to ‘remove’ it from my ‘list’.

Never got into 24 but Justified a different story, also ‘Hell On Wheels’ was a decent one and ‘Fargo’ but are few and far between...had hopes for ‘Better Call Saul’ but they are taking forever to get anywhere....

Aaron Sorkin's writing in
The West Wing from a technical point of view was superb but from a historical point of view it was dishonest as he often turned reality figuratively on its head to reverse positions held by the Clinton administration or to reverse reality itself. From a technical point of view, the acting was equally superb, however delivered on behalf of of an unjust goal.
None of the historical dishonesty on The West Wing compares, however, to the bizarro world of Madam Secretary which was originally conceived as a way to get Hillary elected. Fortunately for America and unfortunately for any semblance of an interesting storyline, Hillary has retreated into her private hell and the show seems to jump the shark every week.

My bourbon consumption went WAY UP after watching Justified. As did my twin convictions that Kentucky is no place for this yankee, and drinking out of a mason jar is bad for your health.

Yes, the TV has been blatantly pro-Hillary for a long time.
West Wing, Mad. Secretary, The Hand Maidens Tail, etc. etc. etc.
