You may be under the mistaken impression that Romney and other Trump haters want to get the facts and the story straight before saying something or tweeting.

Romney wants to damage Trump and do it in McCain way by stabbing Trump in the back again.

Notice he begins first by accusing the president of behavior that "would be troubling in the extreme".

It isn't until at the end that he casually mentions that it's important for the facts to come out.

Romney didn't care what the facts were. He was going to pounce on Trump and paint him as impeachable.

And Romney and the other America haters will never recant or apologize. Even if this is shown to be a phony deal, people will only remember that bad parts.

I don't believe they want to get the FACTS straight at all. I just think they spend 2-3 days gauging public opinion so they can get their STORY straight. And by the time they do that, the original news report has often been eclipsed by changing facts anyway.

I'm sure Romney's team is doing extensive polling and focus group work right now ... and within a few days, we'll get a clear message from them on how the U.S. should deal with the Challenger space shuttle disaster from 1986. :-P
