They don’t care how many regular folks die - they revived the widespread use of suicide fighters after the defeat of Japan in WWII. They used lines of kids to clear minefields, in the Iran/Iraq War.

Got to be a typo. Wikipedia lists the operational range at 200 km, a much more realistic 125 mi range. Probably missed the decimal point. At 1250 miles range, if you launched on an aircraft, by the time the missile got there the pilot would have already RTB, landed, debriefed, and be at the club having a cold one.

As I understand it, the Ohio class boomers have a mixed load of single warhead and MIRV’d missiles. I read somewhere the average is about 90 warheads per sub. I don’t believe there are 90 distinct targets worthy of a nuke in Iran. So pretty much, one sub could devastate that entire country, probably with ordnance left over.
