Rantz: Aggressive homeless threaten Seahawks tailgating at ‘Hawks Alley’

If you’re looking to enjoy some tailgating at “Hawks Alley” right before this weekend’s Seahawks game, you’re likely going to compete with homeless tents and dilapidated RVs for the space.

“We’ve had issues with employees going about their business being threatened,” Erin Goodman, executive director of the SoDo Business Improvement Area, told KOMO’s Kara Kostanich.

There’s supposed to be a cleanup in the area, but it’s scheduled for after this weekend’s Seahawks game. KOMO reports the city won’t move the date due to staffing issues. If the homeless are as aggressive during game day as they are during a normal weekday, it could be a dangerous situation for fans trying to enjoy the game.

Despite constantly proclaiming we have a homelessness emergency, the city of Seattle continues to drag its feet on enacting the policies that will actually help get people off the street and into shelters.

Instead of following a successful Marysville model, the city is hamstrung by council members like Lisa Herbold and Kshama Sawant. Herbold tries to slow Navigation Teams from completing their work, even trying to cut their staff during budget talks (then lying about it). Sawant leaks cleanup schedules to activists so they can stop the work from being done.

Meanwhile, the homeless aren’t getting the help they need and the issue is made worse by prolific offenders that continue to wreak havoc on our communities.

You get who you vote for.
Maybe seattle citizens will finally waken from their slumber.

We visited relatives in Seattle this weekend. We were on Fairview, stopped at a light at Eatlake ave, and a clearly mentally ill older man was wandering through the cars looking for money. When the light turned green he was caught in the middle of the traffic.

He needs to be institutionalized. This needs to happen.

Their neighbors to the north, Vancouver is the same, it’s a beautiful city, but I never saw more bums in my life.

The Seattle city council should be jailed over their ineptitude; but then, it’s the liberal idiots that voted them in.

More likely the die hard football fans will be more aggressive than the homeless.

Tacoma where I was born raised and worked my whole life, used to be known as the arm pit of Puget Sound. Thankfully Seattle has been vying for the title for years now. I don't even like to drive there these days. Unfortunately Seattlites are moving this direction in droves.

The NFL wants you in the stadium drinking their twelve dollar beers and not tailgating.

So you see, it works for them.

Vancouver is the same, it’s a beautiful city, but I never saw more bums in my life.

Their biggest problem is that they're about the only city in Canada where one can live on the streets without fear of freezing to death. So bums flock there.

It would be a dangerous situation for the homeless if they got aggressive at a Bears or Packers tailgate party.

Alcohol consumption makes the tailgaters a seven point favorite.

Moronic liberal Seattleites deserve these two pieces of shit. But the rest of Washington State does not.
