Trump-Ukraine story is what you get when the media imagines the facts

The now-released transcript of President Trump’s July phone call with Ukraine’s prez, Volodymyr Zelensky, shows just why Americans have so little faith in the news media.

Turns out, the document shows none of the Trump abuses suggested in press accounts over the past few days — distortions that have already triggered Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s “official impeachment inquiry.”

Reports claimed Trump made a “promise” to “a foreign leader that was so disturbing it prompted the filing of a formal complaint,” as Vanity Fair reported.

To me the whole thing smells of the deep state, their mockingbird media, and the demoncraps all in a blind panic about a) their complete lack of acceptable candidates for 2020 and b) the abuses of power and illegal activities of the prior administration about to be exposed by Durham's investigation.

What transpired over the past few days is what a cornered animal looks like.

If someone discovered that Trump is the whistle blower, it would not surprise me.

It is turning into national sport to watch the Donkeys er, er, Democrats stumble into and around one another chasing Trump. It really isn't a political party. It's the ultra modern collection of Keystone Kops.

We’ll hear this or something like it in the next day or two.

The whistleblower report confirms the whistleblower got the info as hearsay and the report also includes information from the media. a.k.a. notes taken while watching CNN.

While this is all laughable and embarrassing, I’d put the odds of impeachment as high as 7 in 10.

So when do they vote on this “Official Impeachment Inquiry”? #Where’stheVote,Nancy?

Only because of this did I look up IMPEACHMENT and the Constitution requirements. I was surprised to learn two facts.

First anyone can file charges with the house to begin an impeach hearing. Including ordinary citizens. The investigation can begin without a vote.

If the charges seem reasonable a committee is assigned to investigate. At the end of their investigation they present there finding to the Judiciary committee for a vote (and this vote is to present the charges to the entire house). This is a yes no vote.

If the committee finds evidence to warrant a impeachment and they vote yes, the report is presented to the house for a vote.

The house then must vote yes or no. If they vote yes, the charges are sent to the Senate where a trial is held.

So there are only two votes required. One after the committee investigates and two the house votes.

No votes are required to begin the investigation

I can’t help but wonder if there isn’t a time limit between Nancy announcing an “Official” investigation and a vote being held. I’m sure there is no such thing but it seems Nancy really should have to actually hold a vote or eventually admit she was “just kidding”.

And the funny part of all of this nonsense is the rats are investigating whether to investigate if they should start impeachment proceedings.
