Just this week, the House Judiciary Committee held a hearing on banning assault weapons. Yet, the response from the Republican administration has been deafening silence, leaving millions of American gun owners like myself powerless against the continual assault to our constitutional liberties.
Mr. Trump and the Republican Party at large haven’t done gun owners any favors. The administration has managed to ban possession of “bump stocks” by administrative fiat, making felons out of tens of thousands of gun owners overnight. It also supported state efforts to implement red flag laws, restrict the gun rights of young adults, and threatened gun owners with domestic surveillance and unconstitutional seizures. So much for that “crashing end” to the assault on the Second Amendment.
But despite constant claims that Republicans are beholden to gun rights organizations, when the GOP held the entire government in 2017 and 2018, nothing changed — no concealed-carry reciprocity, no deregulation of firearm suppressors, no changes to any of the thousands of absurd regulations from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). In fact, during the time the Republicans controlled the entire government, all that passed was stiffer background checks. Mr. Trump could’ve taken action on many of these items anytime he wanted. This doesn’t sound like a party under the thumb of gun owners.
Clearly, the GOP has gotten lackadaisical on the concept of civil rights. Some Republicans are even throwing support to dangerous red flag laws and other worrisome proposals, such as the TAPS Act, which would see law enforcement combing social media for “threats” to “manage.”

My “gun rights” are safe with me.
As long as impeachment is going on, this is not on the radar of high priority as it once was.
He has repeatedly stated that he will protect 2nd Amendment rights, as well as, all rights afforded in our constitution. He remains silent because as always, he allows the ones who wish to dissolve our rights to expose their true selves.
What is probably most important now for any who seek elected office - is to know we are ready and quite able to use said guns on those who we elected to protect our rights, when they try to take those rights away.
President Trump is embroiled with his own troubles and doing a pretty good job. But these aren't his horses to trade anyhow. Us pussies have had it easy the last 3 years because our wet dream happened. Now the control freak crazies are coming for our guy who has put it all on the line for us - I don't think guns are his deal we all are interested in different things, the president is from Queens, doesn't seem like folks in the city as big into guns as those more rural.
I guess I'm trying to say I've had some pearl clutchy moments where I'm like the wall isn't being built fast enough - f*#k me the walls being built. This is NOT the time to abandon some one who has turned out to be a very good friend to us all. This rookie is one of the best presidents ever and its because of how he dealing with the unfair shake these marxists are giving him.
It's time to defend him and ourselves with all we've got - I'm not sure what that means but perhaps we should figure that part out. I'm listening and open to suggestions.
We can't wait and endup being someone like Roger Stone where it doesn't matter if you have the means to defend yourself the police state has you in numbers and Lancaster's laws be what they be.

I want to further emphasize this point. I assert that no other human being on this planet could have a) accomplished what he accomplished in being nominated and elected, and then b) surviving the never ending shitstorm that followed that.
This man is so much bigger than life, that he dwarfs these sinister, little pissant 8 year old lying children politicans and bureaucrats.
This man Trump is so unique a person in such a distinct position in history, that I believe he was literally sent by God. I believe this.
Yes, I have complained about the wall. Yes, I am nervous on gun rights.
This man is our champion. We must have his back. We may have to fight soon. This has become serious.
I agree - no black-robed tyrants and no vote by politicians can remove this right.

We should at least hold our own on gun rights, but pro-gun laws will be nothing more than Pyrrhic victories if we don’t have originalists in the federal Courts.
Moreover, best thing we can do to protect Constitutional rights is to inoculate our children from socialism. Putting one’s children in government schools is potentially worse than a vote for Warren. Even many private schools are problematic. I know a family with conservative parents, where all 3 children went to Catholic parochial schools, and now all 3 are socialists and all 3 supported Bernie in 2016.
