I agree with this except our side needs to stop playing defense and go full speed ahead on offense. These Democrats are rotten to the core and we should not let up one bit. It’s offense, offense, offense! We have truth on our side.

From a remedies point, sure. Penalty only reaches removal from office and optionally being barred from office.
But congress and the pundits will argue both sides (a crime is necesary, a crime is not necessary) 'til the cows come home, because THEIR political hides are on the line, and they want to bamboozle their voters.
the media and the dems are all excited about televised “impeachment hearings”...wouldnt be funny if nobody but them showed up?...Trumps off campaigning...if the media asks anybody about it, just say “you gotta go ask them, we have nothing to do with this”...lol. Every body just carry on.

I don’t Tweet very much but reading transcript has moved me to comment. I was totally underwhelmed by the transcript. After the build-up, it was not much more inappropriate said than we hear from him in a typical week. This will not move malleable voters.

And Robert Ray, the former prosecutor said over the weekend or Friday (who remembers with all we’re bombarded with?), that McConnell does not have to nor is he REQUIRED to bring it up in the Senate. I want to see THAT happen and watch the heads explode all over Washington. Would he have the guts to refuse? I would hope he does! If it got to a vote, it wouldn’t be a “yes” vote so why even bother to go through the motions? The country doesn’t need to be locked up for weeks with a Senate trial - get back to work or are we better off if they’re not working?

I’m not worried about impeachment. The Democrats always lie and Trump has no problem calling them out. Americans know something is wrong with the country and the liars are understood to be destructive.

If it’s such a weak case it will fall apart under GOP Senate scrutiny. Given time the House Dems will be able to bolster it with new soundbites and fairy tale “facts.” Look how fast the Dems got soundbites and pivoted to obstruction after just one hearing. Expect a lot more of that. The Dems are building their case for impeachment every day the GOP does nothing.
The Dems ran on healthcare in 2018, not never ending fake trials.
