The real bombshell here is that Trump’s comments to the Ukrainian President was to further a legitimate DOJ investigation.
One that had already been started by the AG.

I think you’re wrong about the reference to Downer. They were letting it be known that he is not an employee of the Australian government anymore thus he could not be compelled by Australia to cooperate.
There was more words around the issue of crowdstrike and the server than Biden and his son. This is the real reason the Dems/deepstate/media are going crazy and trying to get rid of Trump. They (Schiff and Pelosi and I suspect others) heard about Trump and Barr being serious about getting to the bottom of the corrupt origins of the Russia hoax. It’s all about protecting themselves

Possibly, but I doubt it. Downer is a highly beloved figure in Australia. It’s also unlikely he acted without the knowledge of the Aussie government. No way they give him up in my opinion.
Then the Democrats should care about Obama’s use of 5 Eyes to spy on Trump.

But, hey...keep on keeping on...as will I.
They CAN compel him to cooperate, including forcing him to turn over all communications and all contacts in the period in question to the Australian Government. The Australian Government has authority over their subjects to investigate if a crime was committed, and to prosecute if confirmed. But that would have to be the Aussies, not the USA. And I am inferring from this memo that they will not support that, effectively saying Downer is off limits. And why should they investigate themselves?

Sludge is a homosexual and he turned on Trump when the president announced his desire to ban trannies in the military.
That's because Trump and Barr mean business.
It’s just a difference of opinion. I certainly am no insider or expert, so I could be wrong. Australia, like UK and Italy, haven’t been of much help in the Papadopolis/Halper/Downer/Mifsud questions. My take is that this will continue. But Trump is focusing some attention on these countries and seems to be asking for some cooperation at high levels. I hope some day we learn the truth, whatever that turns out to be.
