The premise of the need for an investigation is not about Hunter Biden. He has a degree frome Georgetown and a law degree from Yale. It is about the possible integration of his father’s position as VP to get him one, or a number, of positions that have the appearance of gratuities. It violates federal law.
Trump is bound by the treaty signed by Clinton in 1998 to work with the Ukraine concerning possible corruption. Trump was brought aware of some, and he asked the president of the Ukraine to look into it as is within the scope of his position. And he backed out of the actual investigation by asking the Ukrainian president to contact the attorney general at the DOJ. He further protected himself by requesting his attorney go to the Ukraine to make sure he was within his bounds and to assist the AG and keep his oversee out of the investigation until a ruling needs to be made. Trump is the head of the DOJ and may be called upon to assist.
So this is not about Hunter getting a slack job or two, it’s about how and why he got them concerning his merit and to check on the actions of Joe Biden in his, bragged about, request while VP to halt an investigation concerning his son. That is a gratuity.
