- Maine event salutes education summit under George HW Bush - Bush draws laughs by doubting Trump’s attention span

As an impeachment storm raged in Washington, former president Bill Clinton and former Florida governor Jeb Bush, son and brother to presidents, sought calmer waters in Maine.

The two men appeared together at the University of New England in Biddeford on Friday, to mark the 30th anniversary of a two-day education “summit” held by President George HW Bush in 1989.

All but one state governor attended that meeting, Clinton representing Arkansas three years before he beat Bush for the White House.

“It sounds surprising now,” Clinton claimed of such bipartisan political action. “It was normal then.”

“President Clinton and my dad set the example,” said Bush, “of how you can have a different view on things but be good friends. Public leaders can create aspiration.”

Just Democrats sticking together as far as I'm concerned.

President Clinton and my dad set the example,” said Bush

And that is why we voted for Trump. We are sick to death of putting global scale corruption and DC pandering ahead of America. Absolutely! Sick! To Death! Of it All!

Bill Clinton is scum... and a rapist... and did major damage to the Constitution with his appointment of RBG and Breyer to the SCOTUS... and set in motion a major decline in public morals in this country with his vulgarity and scandals not least of which was being fellated in the Oval Office by White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

Nonetheless, compared to his despicable wife and today’s Democrat stars like Liz Warren, Bernie, Adam Schiff, Pelosi and The Squad, the Big Creep kinda doesn’t seem so bad. LOL.

“And that is why we voted for Trump.”

My family and I did better, economically, under Clinton and Obama than under either Bush. Just sayin.

I’m pro-life and pro-religious freedom, so I can’t support Democrats, but I oppose open borders and endless wars, so I can’t support Bush-McCain-Romney Republicans, either. I’m glad Trump came along, but i’m afraid i’ll be in the same fix when he’s gone.

When we had Gingrich running the Congress and Clinton in the White House, we had a growing economy and the deficit went away. Then came idiot Bush ...

My question to Jeb would be, “Why are you buddying up with a rapist and child molester?”

Actually, I question just how different Clinton and G.H.W. Bush’s thinking really was.

Over the twenty year span of three administrations - G.H.W. Bush (4), Clinton (8), G.W. Bush (8) - i finally began to see t them as a duopoly, not true opposites in most ways.

Before Billary, Inc. was running (2006,7) or so, I was already calling for no more political dynasties - no more Bushes no more Clintons - their gangs were already entrenched enough in the deep state.

‘My question to Jeb would be, “Why are you buddying up with a rapist and child molester?”’

My question to Clinton would be, Why are you buddying up to the guy who’s brother set the Middle East on fire - and spent $7 trillion of our dollars - by stupidly invading Iraq?

I am ashamed of myself for ever voting Bush.
I fought with my dad fiercely over the 2000 election. My dad refused to vote and correctly called out Bush and Gore as one and the same.

I was a young, naive fool tricked by the Bush family. Never again

What fix is that?

Cheering for another Obama clone to win? like you're on record here for cheering for the real Obama when he won?

Krissy Mathews is that you?
