Calling former Vice President Joe Biden's denials of knowledge about his son's business dealings "patently ridiculous," author Peter Schweizer said Thursday on "America's Newsroom" that Hunter Biden's role on the board of a Ukrainian gas company must be investigated.
Schweizer, the author of “Secret Empires" and president of the Government Accountability Institute, argued it's "legitimate" for Biden and his son to be probed because Biden was vice president at the time.
"The notion that if you're running for office, you get a 'get out of jail free' card, I think, is ridiculous. There's nothing wrong with saying it should be done through the Department of Justice, working with Ukrainians," he said.
Anchor Bill Hemmer asked Schweizer about a FoxNews.com report that the fired prosecutor at the center of the Ukraine controversy said he was told to back off an investigation involving a natural gas firm that was linked to Hunter Biden.

Let's understand, a VP is not a free agent....all of his activities are overseen by his boss, the president.
Joe Biden didnt just get up and tell the story about his billion dollar Ukraine adventure WITHOUT Obama okaying it.
The thing that gets me is that this was a gas company Hunter was involved in. All this talk from the climate change activists about evil oil and gas, keep it in the ground, etc. is laughable now. Notice that no one in the Green movement has made a statement on this.
Not surprising. These pols have been using their positions to enrich family members forever.
The solution; term limits. Eight years max for the house, Eight for the senate (4 year terms), and eight for the President. Stagger the senate elections so half the senators are up for election or termed out.

Well, my understanding is Biden was Obama’s ‘point man’ on Ukraine and China dealings. Looks like Biden steered some very lucrative deals to his son that brought in millions, perhaps even billions to the Biden family coffers. Wonder where all that money ended up?
