I'm generally opposed to these kind of withdrawals. I certainly didn't support it when we left Iraq in 2010, and I didn't support Obama's ridiculous -- and wildly premature -- announcement of withdrawal from Afghanistan.

But Trump has a point with "endless wars". There doesn't seem to be any even theoretical endgame in Syria right now. No "defeat the Taliban" or "defeat ISIS" plan. Just sort of stay there indefinitely.

A line has to be drawn at some point. I'm willing to listen to arguments as to why we should stay, but Trump has a point.

We should stay because it creates jobs in the military supply and contract industries. Jobs are good for the economy. We need more wars... More jobs... The cost of lives are totally acceptable losses if it furthers this fantastic economic agenda.
