Why, thank you. Ive spent a good portion of my life working for the government. As I prepare to retire from the Army, I am considering going back to work for the government if my other plans dont work out.
People who work in government are not universally corrupt. In fact, the peons (like me) are subject to very strict ethics rules. Politicians impose them on us to balance the bad karma they incur with their bad behavior.
God bless you for your patriotic service to United States of America. Most civilians, encounter government employees in capacities other than the military. These civilian bureaucrats are frequently incompetent, arrogant, lazy, and corrupt.
Of course, I live in California. So the arrogant and incompetent and corrupt morons that I am forced to deal with on a regular basis may not be representative of government employees elsewhere in the United States.
I specifically meant those people who run for and hold public office for years and years and years, treat others as though they are superior to them, enrich themselves, and approach all topics and issues in life as though they are the experts and ultimate arbiters - only because they hold an elected office. These are people like Hillary, Schiff, Nadler, etc. I'm just fed up with those who treat elected office as a ‘prize’ for them, rather than a position of service to others.
Anyway, I truly do apologize.
