While Democrats have been calling for President Trump’s impeachment over his alleged soliciting of assistance from foreign countries ahead of the 2020 election, an unearthed comment from February 2000 might show stones were being thrown from glass houses.
On his show Monday, Tucker Carlson discussed a transcript of a call between former President Bill Clinton and then-U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair -- the same year as the election pitting Clinton's vice president, Al Gore, against George W. Bush -- during which the ex-president asked his British counterpart for a political favor.
“You’ve heard endlessly on cable news that it is unprecedented the president would seek political gain from a conversation with a foreign leader. Well, turns out, it has happened before,” Carlson said.

Also - I never see a link to the January 2018 Joe Biden video where Joe brags that he told the President of Ukraine “If the prosecutor [who is investigating his son] is not fired, you’re not getting the money [$1 billion in loan guarantees].”
Can you imagine what would be happening if Don Jr. had done what Hunter Biden did?
Can you imagine what would be happening if Trump had said the same thing on video that Biden said?
Why are Trump and his team not on permanent offense against the Democrats with those two facts?

Think we should just accept that the political class is a global class that looks after its own, and places secondary, if any, importance to their supposed fellow citizens. Dave-o did the same thing getting Obama to tell us not to vote to leave the EU because he thought we loved him so much that we’d listen to a foreign leader threatening dire economic consequences if we didn’t vote to stay in the EU.

You're asking us to reason from a false hypothesis. The Trumps were wealthy BEFORE they came into office. It's nice for us that they aren't lured by the easy money that is available to dishonest politicians. (I'm looking at you, Barack Obama. I'm looking at you Bill and Hillary Clinton.)

Tucker is a smart fellow, he should not make the mistake of accepting the dems premise and then trying to prove it's not a big deal. Trump did not seek political gain from a conversation with a foreign leader.
That tape of Biden has been shown over and over for weeks. There may not be a “link” to it but if you’re watching FOX news, it’s featured constantly.

People who watch only the propaganda press have probably never seen the Biden tape re Ukraine. The MSM, the mouthpiece of the Dem party, has probably not even referred to it, much less shown it. Dem supporters have seen biased commentary about out-of-context comments of PDJT over and over but never anything that is actual news like the Biden tape.
I hope you’re not implying - or suggesting - that FReepers may be watching the propaganda press thereby not seeing the tape?? I can believe the LSM hasn’t shown it. I could ask liberal friends who are proud of watching ONLY those shows but I prefer not to! It’s difficult to even carry on email correspondence with them without raising the subject of their ignorance.
We don't live in a bubble, but WaPo reading leftists can. They think they are much smarter than we are, but they are actually just misinformed and uninformed. It's hard to have a discussion with any of these uninformed people as they will just bring up their favorite attack talking points about some of Trump's tweets, trying to get you off the subject. Few of them want a sincere discussion.
