People in the DOJ are appointed and confirmed by politicians, and politicians also fund the DOJ. If they start arresting politicians who violate the Hobbs act, they would be biting the hands that feed them.

It occurs to me that the kangaroo court arrangement that Adam Schiff has imposed - secret witnesses, secret hearings, no presidential participation, no Repub participation, Dem control over release of info on progress - is reminiscent of the way that Hillary wanted to run the Watergate impeachment committee . . . she was fired back then...
