Several guns seized from Redmond man after 'concerning Twitter posts' for 'Joker' movie

Investigators became aware of the posts last week, including one dated Sept. 26 showing the man holding two AK-47 guns -- one in each hand, pointing skyward, fingers on triggers. The caption on the photo read: "One ticket for joker please," according to Redmond police.

The post comes as U.S. officials had issued warnings about the potential for mass shootings at the movie, which opened on Thursday to increased security around the Seattle-area movie theaters. FBI intelligence officials had uncovered social media posts related to extremists classified as 'incels' -- short for "involuntary celibate" -- and the man had been claiming to be one of them.

Investigators learned that the man had previous disturbing and threatening social media posts toward women in 2017, according to Redmond police's petition for being granted an Extreme Protection Order.

Meh. I’m not going to be losing any sleep over this assclown not being armed.

Possible, but that guy looks like he has no physical skills at all. I doubt he’s building ‘ghost guns’. Just some scary words.

I’m not an assclown, so I won’t bother saying anything when they come for the assclowns ...

To the Hillary Clinton, Bobby O’Rourke, Kamala Harris types YOU’RE an assclown.

This isn’t a “slippery slope” argument. The ‘Rats intend to disarm all of us. “Red Flag” laws are fully intended for use against normal people. First use against nutters is just to make the idea seem socially acceptable.

Guess it depends on if the police’s observations are of any worth:
“indicated he uses gun kits to make “ghost guns” — guns without serial numbers, according to police.”

There is no such thing as a “fire in a theater exception” to free speech. That case is often cited by the media, but it has been LONG overruled.

I don’t have the time to educate you at the moment, so here is some

” “Red Flag” laws are fully intended for use against normal people.”

Obviously failed in the case then, having snared a nut.

Do mass murdering theatre shooters usually buy a ticket to the movie?

Could be, but ghost guns are typically AR pattern rifles. As stated, the photo is poor but the rest of the rifle looks like a correct AKM type AK. It’s not as if AK’s are hard to get, but I do think the underfolder is likely airsoft.

Yeah, I personally prefer those 50 caliber AR-15 sniper rifles that shoot 10,000 rounds a minute and are made of plastic and you can fold the stock and hide it in your back pocket.

Well, you don't think they would want to break the law, do you?

As far as I can remember, nobody has ever been all that accepting of people with very public loose screws running around armed. That’s not a hill a person would wanna die on.

According to Wikipedia (hah hah hah) the convicted murderer who shot up a theater in Aurora Co on July 20, 2012 did in fact buy a ticket and enter the auditorium legally.

I had forgotten ... the show that day was a Batman movie.

Huh ...

"Um... This is almost literally the “yelling fire in a movie theater” exception to completely free speech."

It's no more yelling fire than what the media is doing hyping the chance for attacks at the theater. They are "almost literrally" encouragning mass shootings with their 24/7 drivel.

"If he’s stupid enough in this environment to think it’s ok to not just say this but post it publicly I’m ok with the JBTs giving him a timeout. "

What Constitutional power gives the Police the right to seize property when no crime has been committed?

If the Police did not have enough to arrest this man they POSITIVELY did not have the authority to seize anything. What you are "OK" with from the police is far far more dangerous than someone making a ill timed social media posting.

Folks we are never going to have the proactive ability to stop a suicidal murderer, never. We will only lose liberty even attempting to do so.

When police in leftist jurisdictions start slandering normal people as “nutters” and stealing their guns under color of law, don’t say you weren’t warned.

I said “when” not “if”.

Why would that matter? Some may and others maybe not. That has no bearing on this case, imo.
