If George W. Bush really is a war crimes monster, and Donald Trump really is a white supremacist racist, then their detractors would be correct in condemning persons who hang out with them, are friends with them, and so on. There are persons who one should not be friends with.
Being friendly and nice has limits.
The fact is however, George W. Bush is NOT a war crimes monster and Donald Trump is not a racist. And both are in fact good guys.
