The Kurds themselves are Sunnis...well, those that are not radical Communists (the PKK). They are not from Syria but took over this area to use as a base, and one of the reasons there are so many Syrian migrants is that they were fleeing the Kurds and the resulting destabilization that enabled ISIS to take over. Syrians constitute the largest group of people arriving illegally in Europe.
The Kurds receive lots of money and arms from us, and will continue to do so, but this territorial dispute and establishment of a Kurdish territory in Syria is not something our troops should be involved in. We cleared out ISIS and now its up to them to work it out with Turkey and Syria.
I had a dear friend in college that considered herself and extended family to be Kurds and Yazidis. Many family members were gassed to death by Sadam Hussein.

Dont know where youre getting this information but its wrong. Kurd have been living in areas that became a part of Syria for a very long time.
Thanks for posting. Couple questions.. how many gas pipelines are in this area? What is the proximity of them to Ukraine?
Quit watching fox years ago. I think this is all about pipelines and clearly democratic nepotism. Democrats and media are inbred... fox used to be the exception.
