Just because we cross the dessert to force our way into traditional Kurd territory (for hundreds or thousands of years), don’t you dare call it an invasion.

Those folks are standing in front of our armored vehicles.

That’s obviously an attack!

Most here don’t care.

I’m appalled.

The kurds saved TENS of thousands of Christian lives by standing up to ISIS when NO ONE would

Doesn’t matter if they did it on purpose or not.

They did.

It’s MORE than WE DID FOR YEARS.

And if Trump wasnt elected, Christians would still be getting slaughtered.

And obama probably bathed in their blood.

With that example of no national border, Mexico should have the right to come take back Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. It’s probably breaking them to support all these refugees.

The “Kurds” are ethnically NW Iranians - mountain people. They spread North throughout the mountain range and expanded into three other countries.

They had their own country for three years - 1920-1923.

After the Ottoman Empire was broken up, the land was divvied up by the Treaty of Sèvres in 1920 and the Kurds got a State. That treaty was renegotiated in 1923 with the Treaty of Lausanne which did not set aside a State for them.

This was all done by Euro, UK and Turkey. USA had nothing to do with it. The Kurds were part of the Ottoman Empire voluntarily before that.

They’re akin to the Appalachian people in that they have their own culture. Other than that, they’re Iranians originally.

If the Appalachian mountain range extended all the way into Canada and the Appalachians had expanded up there before the USA and Canada was a thing, would anyone say we should cut out a chunk of the USA and a chunk of Canada today to give them a country?

Just because you live in the hills/mountains and become your own culture, doesn’t mean you get your own country.

Meh.. These cultures have been at if for centuries. Not The United States’ problem; shouldn’t have been there in the first place. The “kurds” are not one people. The “kurds” are many, many factions. Some commie, others anti-christian; others straight sunni...

Besides which, this is about pipelines; not kurds. This is about KSA and Quatar threatening the petro dollar if they don’t get their way. F both those countries, let them deal with it. 18 years of “incursions”. Let’s see Congress declare actual WAR; their damn job. Otherwise, I am with POTUS, bring the troops home.
