The goal to being on those sites isn’t to convert, its to raise awareness so that we can break the monopoly. The strategy of the dominant social media platforms is to shutdown the accounts of allied conservatives and harass and manipulate the analytics of the big conservative accounts they can’t outright shut down to slow down their momentum. As long as they maintain their monopoly, they have the power to continue to do this. There is no reason why Trump can’t be on places like Gab and Twitter at the same time and give occasional shoutouts. Its not like he’s manually signing up himself.

I totally agree which is why we need to be there.

If Trump was to vacate these "dominant social media platforms" in some kind of show of protest, as I have seen advocated here (not necessarily by you), trust me, the liberals would be high-fiving each other all across America and celebrating.

It irritates the libs at Twitter to no end that Trump maintains 65,500,000 followers (and growing) on THEIR platform. I love it that we are disrupting their world and making it very difficult for them to shut conservatives down.

Don't get me wrong, the war is far from won. I see all the suppression out there of conservatives and the suspensions of conservative accounts and what not while the other side does far worse with no repercussions.

I don't think the answer is building out "conservative" platforms as an alternative. There is no way that platforms like GAB and Parler are going to pose any kind of threat to Facebook, Google and Twitter anytime soon (if ever) and even a well-funded start-up will take a good five years to challenge the big platforms. And we just don't have that kind of time with the pivotal 2020 election just months away.

We need to take the fight to them on their platforms.
