The “legal immigration” laws, as they now stand, have become a hodgepodge and a joke. The “lottery” system of choosing those eligible to immigrate with an eye to gaining citizenship, without regard to their fitness to become a citizen and/or pay their own way, was a mistake from the start. Merit, as a criteria, was simply thrown out the window.
Sure, the quota assigned to each country based on past immigration patterns was unjust, but it was at least predictable, and all the applicants were vetted pretty well by the time they arrived. But it was not necessarily tied to that other atrocity, chain migration, that permitted some pretty loosely related family members to enter the country.

I live here and couldnt afford to move my happy ass to any other country in the hopes that I might not be able to stay. Said country would THROW MY HAPPY ASS OUT!
Just remember, foreigners come in three varieties:
1.) Europeans, who I class as “family we haven’t seen in a long while.” I’m sure many people on these threads are friendly with at least one expatriate Brit, Dutch, German, etc. I can think of several in my social circle, and I’m glad they’re here. And the stories they tell about how they were treated by our immigration authorities for the unforgivable crime of being white ...
2.) Third World scum, who should be restricted to their godawful hellhole countries and never permitted to come near the United States.
3.) Asians, who often bring impressive skills to the table. However, they come from cultures radically different from ours. I want to see them prosper greatly in their own countries and become good trading partners. But Anytown USA should not be transformed into Shanghai or Mumbai.
If that makes me a racist ... I don’t give a flying flip. In fact, I would say that nothing matters more than maintaining America’s racial and cultural purity.
Americans come in two flavors, chocolate and vanilla, and that’s the way it should stay. Especially while we badly need to liberate the chocolate side from the evil Leftists who have been conning them for generations. We don’t need any rocky road or tutti fruiti.

- Deport all illegals who are already here. No exceptions.
- Turn away those who have been coached on how to claim asylum.
- And cut legal immigration by at least 90%.
My ancestors were immigrants - legal ones - but they assimilated. Bringing in new people faster than they can become culturally American is a disservice to the new immigrants and to their children and grandchildren who deserve better. As usual, President Trump is trying to do the right thing.
