Democratic lawmaker says Barr's reported meeting with Murdoch should be investigated

Rep. Harley Rouda (D-Calif.) suggested Friday that Attorney General William Barr's reported meeting with media giant Rupert Murdoch this week should be investigated by lawmakers.

Murdoch, the chairman of Fox, and Barr met at Murdoch's New York home on Wednesday night, The New York Times reported. It is unclear what the duo discussed, with aides to both men declining to comment to the newspaper earlier this week.

"What the hell is the attorney general of the United States doing meeting with the head of Fox?" Rouda, who sits on the House Oversight and Reform Committee, said during an interview on SiriusXM’s "The Dean Obeidallah Show" on Friday.

"And for what purpose could that possibly be, especially in light of the fact this is happening exactly at the same time the president of the United States is saying Fox News isn’t being kind enough to him?" the Democratic lawmaker added.

Rouda suggested that lawmakers should look into the meeting, adding, "I think it is within our purview because we want to know."

Of course it should.

I’m surprised Barr isn’t facing federal charges and locked in solitary confinement yet.

Deep State is slow.

These idiots keep poking the bear, I mean Barr.

I don't see how this is a good strategy.

The left is up in arms because Shep quit after Barr met with Murdoch. Newsflash, you moronic Democrats, FNC is turning more left as the years go by. Barr has no say who gets hired or fired from Fox and nowadays, knowing the channel as we all do, they’d promote Shep if Barr wanted him out.

If the try it, Federal marshals should should show up and arrest them for obstruction of justice. It’s the legal duty of the AG to investigate.

“The left is up in arms because Shep quit after Barr met with Murdoch.”

Maybe this is why Shep quit. Barr may have had some good info on Shep and he left without a fuss. Probably broke some clauses in his contract. I guess we will find out in do time.

LOL! Rouda (D-CA) plays the wrong card. Does this twit really infer AG Bob Barr was remotely interested in a conversation about “Bias”??

Barr is gathering evidence and testimony for a criminal investigation.

It is possible that it was a fluke that Shepherd Smith simply left over a personal snit with Tucker, or others, but it is equally possible Shep smells trouble coming his own way, or it is equally possible that Barr was sniffing out a number of crimes, even some we don’t want to discuss.

The Epstein file is still open, for example, as well as tracking international trafficking.

Media is not immune from that which they are personally not immune. We don’t know, exactly, but Bias “ain’t it”, with Barr.
