John Bel Edwards won last time because too many GOP candidates split the votes and he scooped up the rest.

If that’s the same situation again, he’ll be re-elected in a solid Red state.

My guess is it will be a runoff. No one gets 51% this round.

No, that is not what happened last time.

Edwards won in the runoff. He did not win in this election (the primary)

The question is if the Republicans will band together for the second round.

He won because the leading GOP candidate Vetter was smeared and many self-righteous GOP voters didn’t vote for him
