Audi R10 Diesel Wins Sebring

>>March 19, 2006 SEBRING, Fla. - The new Audi R10 TDI has immediately written motorsport history in its first outing: Dindo Capello (Italy), Tom Kristensen (Denmark) and Allan McNish (Scotland) won the 12-hour race at Sebring (USA) achieving the first ever victory of a Diesel powered sportscar. Tom Kristensen became the first driver to win America's most famous endurance race for a fourth time, achieving another record after his record seventh Le Mans victory from last year.<<

Audi R10 Diesel wins Le Mans 24 hours

>>August 2006 Audi took a historic first diesel win in the Le Mans 24 Hours, on the R10 TDI’s debut in the Sarthe classic.

Victory went to the car driven by Emanuele Pirro, Frank Biela and Marco Werner, while its sister car, driven by six-time winner Tom Kristensen, Allan McNish and Rinaldo Capello was third, three laps behind, after the car ran into a series of problems, including losing around 25 minutes when fuel injectors had to be changed in the fourth hour.

The German firm has now won all but one edition of France’s great race since 1999 – the exception being 2003, when the Bentley EXP Speed 8, which relied heavily on Audi technology, triumphed.<<

To believe Audi is at the same level as Bugatti, Ferrari, Lambo, Pagani, McClaren, etc is absolutely insane lacking any logic.

I guess not, Audi's level must have been at least three laps in front.

Ciao!

Heh heh heh

Auf wiedersehen!

Bugatti Chiron introduced in 2016 at Geneva Auto Show - THE show for ultra high-performance cars

Top speed limited to 260mph

On August 2, 2019, Bugatti test driver Andy Wallace reached 490.48 km/h (304.77 mph) in a pre-production Chiron Super Sport 300+ prototype at Volkswagen's test facility in Ehra-Lessien. The speed was verified by the TÜV, Germany's Technical Inspection Association, making it the first time a production vehicle has broken the 300 mph barrier.
