A second American civil war is nothing to look forward to

Similarly, today, it is surprising to hear with what composure, and how glibly, members of the public, and even politicians, talk of a second American civil war. Some conservatives assume that they, having more arms and more training and practice in using them, would quickly prevail over the soy-boy Left.

Proficiency with firearms will be no match for nuclear bombs, which Democrat Eric Swalwell has already suggested deploying domestically.

The Democrats are busy even now destroying the institutions of government, the institutions for the peaceful adjustment of differing interests. They are doing this through the Mueller witch hunt, bureaucratic and judicial sedition, and the illegitimate impeachment inquiry, and they are fomenting violence through their Antifa organization and their rhetoric.

Nightlife in Damascus. Not what it was before the war, but hardly third world.

In fact, other than that corruption and communism, Damascus was thriving before the war. Nobody wanted it to turn out this way, but people WERE farly comfortable yet many still chose war. Can happen here too.

Yeah, I’m guessing you thought Beruit[sic] and Havana were “third world” too before war ravages and everyone was subsistence living off berry bushes and cock roaches.

War doesn't "break out" in first world countries.

“War doesn’t “break out” in first world countries.”

That’s curious. Turkey doesn’t seem to be listening to you.

“War doesn’t “break out” in first world countries.”

What makes you think that is what we have here?

No, I meant, what makes you think this is still a first world country.

No, I meant, what makes you think this is still a first world country.

Highest income. Lowest poverty rates. Lowest hunger rates. Highest quality of life in the history of mankind, ever.

There is no other way to define it.

Wrong. Your definition is subjective and overly exclusive, to put it mildly.

Proficiency with firearms will be no match for nuclear bombs, which Democrat Eric Swalwell has already suggested deploying domestically.

They deploy a nuke and the grid goes down.

Since they live in the cities they will starve to death.

The and since we do not live in concentrated groups we are harder to hit with a nuke. In fact a nuke is a stupid waste of power.

I agree that it is nothing to look forward to but even assuming that several someones high enough ranking in the military could be prevailed upon to do such a stupid action it would hurt them much worse then it would hurt us.

Let me guess. The writer is a city boy who has never actually driven around in the US.
