Sometimes , most times, the people have no choice.
A civil war is the worst thing that can happen to a nation. There are no winners and the patrimony of its forebears is squandered and destroyed in the process.
The next CW will be left versus right. The left hates guns. So...
Right now, methinks it is a most likely outcome.
Having taken classes on the Spanish and English civil wars and teaching Russian civil war our revolution was closer to a civil war than our civil war. It will NOT be the case this time if it happens.
The first thing that will happen is the Internet will go down and all commerce will cease, meaning all food will stop arriving in the population centers.
After that it’s mass starvation in a matter of weeks.
Americans have sanitized and commercialized our Civil War so much over the past 160 years, that I think many people think it is exactly the same as the reenactments, and are just tiny little skirmishes that end in everyone driving home at the end of the day after a good time.
A little too much like the tourists that went to view Bull Run as it was happening only to find out how south (pun?) it could all go.
The left has made it so that the only way to avoid it is to submit.

Actually, despite the fact that conservatives have more guns and more proficiency using them, they are law-abiding, family-oriented people. They will not shoot anyone for fear of prison and the resulting impoverished families. The left cares nothing about any of this. To quote Rhett Butler, they’d lick us in a week.

This so-called “peace” is ugly. I’d rather have a civil war and take our chances than live under certain communism and liberal stupidity.
We all know it’s coming yet in our cognitive dissonance we follow Q drops instead or organizing for the fight. Q will save us— like the god he has become; and we don’t have to put forth any effort following the latter— bonus.
One side won’t stop its crap, and the other side is running out of options.

Capitulation would work as well it did for Europes Jewry. What happened in the camps wasn’t war.
Leftist commentator Andy Rooney once stated that the worst thing Hitler ever did was to prove for all time that any peace isn’t necessarily better than any war.
To most of us, lining up entire villages, forcing them to dig mass graves and shooting them to be buried in the graves they had just dug was really bad. Rounding people up to work as slaves until they died of starvation was bad. Killing mental patients and the elderly was bad. Shipping people by rail to camps where they were gassed and then incinerated was bad.
But to the socialist, nothing on that list was as bad as showing people that giving in to government oppression was worse than fighting it.
They still relentlessly try to promote the idea that freedom and the means of self defense aren’t important. Or present the notion that preparation for a war in order to survive is the same as eagerly desiring war.
When the Leftist Democrats regain Power, which they will at some point, the only thing to do is refuse to follow their Unconstitutional Edicts.
The Founders looked to the Courts, a coequal Branch of our Republican Government, to rein in the power hungry Politicians who have no respect for our Constitution or the Freedoms American Citizens enjoy.
That has apparently failed. Without Morality and an Allegiance to our Founding Principles by our Elected Representatives, our Republic cannot stand. It is as simple as that.
We will still be living in something called America, but not the America our Founding Fathers envisioned.
I guess we could always flee to Canada and Mejico to avoid the ‘mess’.
The 2nd civil war started the day Lincoln emancipated the slaves. Some of their descendants make sure it rages to this day, some for their own agenda, some cuz they are just nasty and prejudiced beyond repair.
