Maria Bartiromo: DOJ inspector general report due out Friday and covers 'more than just FISA abuse'
Washington Examiner ^ | 13 Oct 19 | Daniel Chaitin

Posted on 10/13/2019 5:56:15 PM PDT by SkyPilot

Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo says her sources are telling her an extensive report by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz on alleged Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuses by the Justice Department and the FBI will be released by the end of next week.

Bartiromo, who is the first journalist to report an exact release date, discussed what she had learned on her Fox News show, Sunday Morning Futures, with two Republican congressmen who deduced former high-ranking government officials are bracing for a scathing critique.

"I’m hearing the IG report will be out this upcoming Friday, Oct. 18, and my sources say it’s as thick as a telephone book," Bartiromo said, adding that it covers "more than just FISA abuse."

It has been exactly one month since Horowitz announced the completion of the investigation by his team, who pored over more than 1 million records and conducted 100-plus interviews. The inspector general gave a draft to the Justice Department and FBI for a classification review.

Upon the completion of that process, the report will first be delivered to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, who has pledged to do a "deep dive" of his own into FISA that will run concurrently with U.S. Attorney John Durham's review of the early stages of the Russia investigation. The South Carolina Republican said his "No. 1 goal" is to have as much of the report declassified as possible.

An extra hour of “Bias training” will fix this.

Sleep Well, America!

You’re being sarcastic?

Cynicism is justified, if you hadn’t noticed. That’s being optomistic.

I just pray to gawd they aren’t ordered to..write...sentences. “I will not try to subvert and overthrow the U.S. Government again” x 2000. They’ll never survive the punishment.

Y'all are really setting the bar low. (no Barr pun intended).

I guess if you don't expect nothing, you can't be disappointed.

I hope:

  1. The truth will come out. That alone can change the parties' fortunes. That alone can serve as a deterrent to future crimes.
  2. I hope that stronger checks and balances are put in place as a result of the report. I think that the FISA court should have a team of citizen's advocates that challenge FISA requests. Even if they are sworn to secrecy. Challenging the requests shouldn't be left solely to the judges on the FISA court. Blocking it from happening again is more important than prosecuting the perps. Though blocking and prosecuting would be best.
  3. I hope where there are prosecute-able crimes that they are indeed prosecuted. Especially lying to Congress and lying to the FBI and Lying to the FISA court.
  4. I hope that where highest level executives such as Brennan, Clapper, Hillary and Obama have committed crimes that they are both exposed and prosecuted.
  5. I hope the democrats lose the house.
  6. I hope the Republicans who win the house aren't RINO's but true patriots.
  7. I hope kickback and payoff arrangements between US officials and overseas governments are all exposed and prosecuted.
  8. I hope that foreign governments exposing corruption is not seen as a problem, but that foreign governments creating false witness to impact elections is exposed and punished so severely that they foreign governments will be forever afraid of participating in any underhanded scheme by any administration ever again.

Yep. I know, Let’s have a report about the report! That’s the ticket! Sheesh. Peahens all. We’re doomed.

Cynicism not needed. This report will dovetail nicely with all before, and after. Complimentary and complementary no doubt with the all else deep swamp productions.

America can hardly stand the wait. More drivel. More whitewash by the peck. When do the barricades go up and citizens take action against the never ending corruption of the elite?

Just what America needs...a scathing critique. Is that beer or worse than a scathing rebuke?

Look out. Next thing you know, they'll give them the 'Comfy Chair'...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There were a lot more crimes than just the FISA abuse to cover up.
Whitewash thick enough to cover up that many crimes ends up thick as a telephone book.
Thanks for injecting some sense into this thread.
Let’s just wait a few days before jumping to conclusions.
Conspiracy prosecutions aren’t exactly a cinch to put together. And we’re talking about a complicated plot to overthrow a duly elected president.
To read some of the comments on these threads, the cases against Brennan, Clapper, Comey et. al. are as simple and straightforward as if they were caught shoplifting from Wal Mart.
Trumps people are getting rousted out of their homes, arrested, put into solitary or driven into ruin with legal fees, and the lefties are laughing and sneering.
So, they don’t actually know anything about the report, but they “deduced” it.
We left the Republic behind on Usurpation Day, January 20, 2009 when NONE of our elected or appointed would stand up for the Constitution.
Obama was born a British subject/Kenyan national and later picked up Indonesian citizenship, whose passport he used as an adult.
Anyone with more than ONE nationality is NOT naturally an American.
