Grew up a country boy, the son of a minister, around mostly farmers. College educated and almost 40 years in banking/ bank related business. I really, really miss morality and common sense in the public square.
I can relate.
I grew up on a ranch and knew many of my Dad’s World War II friends, including a few generals. Dad could relate to them or a good old cowboy or little grandmother, who he would tip his hat to in a show of respect. He was well rounded and we learned those things well. It’s sad what we’re subjected to today.
