Mike Bloomberg keeps talking to allies about running for president as Joe Biden struggles

Mike Bloomberg has indicated to associates in recent weeks that Joe Biden’s recent struggles are making him rethink his decision to stay out of the 2020

Democratic primary, according to people familiar with the discussions. “Bloomberg is in if Biden is out,” says one source. Biden has not indicated any desire to drop out any time soon.

Bloomberg could be in for a showdown with Elizabeth Warren, whether he runs or not, as he has been one of her biggest critics on the Democratic side.

“I think it’s something he wants. He has not been shy about that,” one of Bloomberg’s allies familiar with the talks told CNBC. “Nothing can happen unless Biden drops out, and that’s not happening anytime soon,” this person added.

“He’s like everyone else. They can’t get it out of their system,” said a banking executive who has known Bloomberg for decades. “Bloomberg is in if Biden is out,” said another New York billionaire with ties to Bloomberg.

During a recent forum hosted by Everytown for Gun Safety, a group Bloomberg founded and continues to financially support, the former New York mayor seemed to take a swipe at her anti-corporate policies.

“I just said to Sen. Warren on the way out, ‘Senator, congratulations, it’s a nice talk. But let me just remind you if my company hadn’t been successful, we wouldn’t be here today, so enough with this stuff,’” he said.

In January, when he was considering a run for president, he took a shot at Warren’s wealth tax proposal, calling it unconstitutional.

“It’s called Venezuela,” he said at the time.

A representative for Warren did not return a request for comment.

The thought of Bloomberg as POTUS actually scares me more than a lot of the Democrats.

This guy has some sick obsession with having control over others. He will literally lay awake in bed all night thinking up some new regulation to prevent you from using the wrong toothpaste.

There's nothing that will make Biden drop out, short of death, or outright loss of the nomination -- and despite recent "polls", that isn't going to happen.

This video had been available since the event, afaik, and not even his supposed rivals for the nomination have used it yet.

In addition, it hasn't been banned on YouTube either (multiple copies).

One nationwide broadcast of this would be expected to destroy his candidacy, and he must know it exists, but has apparently done nothing.

Does that sound like someone who's scared?

It’s crazy that the Dems don’t actually compete with each other...They tend to just agree and take it a step farther. No Dem in the race is attacking Pocahontas and her evil wealth tax and no one is going after Joe and his clear interference in Ukraine and the slimy dealings him and his son have had. There are supposedly 20 people who want to be President who don’t even try and use this stuff. If they continue to not compete their candidate will go up against Trump untested

It's the last election where there will be "moderated debates", IMHO, and the last significant year or couple of years for the so-called news media -- all because of their complicity in the witch trials and the past ten years or so of incitement and things like "white Hispanic". They aren't covering Biden's scandals, they are covering *for* Biden's scandals.
