Us getting out of Syria is part of straightening this mess out. I don’t give a tinker’s damn what happens in Syria. There is no vital US interest there that I am aware of.

not sure what large loss by Kurds is reason not to vote for Trump, perhaps another dim that will get us into another needless war, or keep us in wars for another couple of decades, name a valid alternative, Kurds would shoot us in the back if it furthered their needs, we used them when we needed and they used us when they needed. Perhaps we should go everywhere in the world and save everyone who might be the enemy of my enemy at this moment. As a vet who has deployed too many times to the ME, they would knife us in the back when we no longer serve their purpose, and I dread the day having to do another ceremony for a fallen service member who died doing their duty. Sad thing is to “try” and solve an unsolvable situation, yes I am bitter

The Middle East was a mess when all of us were born and the region will still remain a mess long after we have all departed this Earth. Whenever I read an article in a magazine or watch one of the talking head cable shows I cringe when I see that person presented as a Middle East “expert”. All these Middle East “experts” have put us in unwinnable situations over there at the cost of thousands of US servicemen and women, and trillions from our treasury. Enough already. It has been a religious war over there for a thousand years and more. Muslims hate Christians, Jews and anyone else who does not belong to their religion, and they don’t want to peace as we know it. That is never going to change and that will last to the last days of Earth. You don’t need to be an international policy wonk to know that.
So go vote for someone else then. Why are the Kurd’s so much better than American’s that you would toss away your vote for a foreigner let alone risk yet another American life over? That are has been at it for 1000+ years; They don’t match up well with our society by and large. They can figure it out on their own in maybe another 1000 years. Still not worth 1 American life. They are not our allies; they are just using us (and we them)for their own “greater goals” and America has got nothing in their agenda beyond fleecing us.
