Exactly. In a society with freedom of religion, the honest and decent thing to do if you disagree with what a religion teaches is to go and join another one. It’s sad the dissidents don’t convert, but they shouldn’t be trying to wreck an existing institution.

Other churches want the popularity, therefore the donations, by catering to whatever the crowd wants.

The thing is, it’s not bringing donations or attendance. Mainline churches these days are the dwindling province of sanctimonious middle aged liberal white cat ladies and urban homosexuals.

Do Christians support tyranny or is totalitarian big federal government ok? What about our corrupt federal government, is it the twisted slavish version of Romans 13 or the spirit of 76? Do you think that Trump alone can drain the swamp or are you ok with the Feds going after the peasants? Should government goons be protected from capital punishment when they kill millions of babies or let the border wide open to drugs or when they sell secrets to China and let them import fentanyl?

Nah,it’s more fun to crap on the peasant. When one person dies, or even a few more that’s a tragedy. Call in the feast app agents, that’ll sow them. But when the government does it on an industrial scale, that’s a statistic. Government is magically good when the GOP takes control.
