Hunter Biden: I Had ‘As Much Knowledge As Anyone Else’ on Board of Ukraine Gas Company
The Washington Free Beacon ^ | October 15, 2019 | Graham Piro

Posted on 10/15/2019 9:00:05 AM PDT by Hojczyk

Hunter Biden pointed to his experience on the board of Amtrak to justify his position on the board of a Ukrainian gas giant, despite not having "extensive knowledge" of natural gas or Ukraine.

In an interview that aired on Tuesday, he also admitted to ABC News anchor Amy Robach that he most likely would not have been on the board if he were not the son of Joe Biden, then the vice president of the United States.

"You didn't have any extensive knowledge about natural gas or Ukraine itself," Robach told Biden in an interview on Good Morning America.

"No, but I think I had as much knowledge as anyone else on that board, if not more," Biden said.

Robach also asked him what his qualifications were for the board of a natural gas company. Biden pointed to his time on the board of Amtrak, his position as chairman of the board of the U.N. World Food Programme, and his time at a prestigious law firm.

"In the list you gave me of the reasons why you're on that board, you did not list the fact that you're the son of the vice president," Robach said. "What role do you think that played?"

"I think that it is impossible for me to be on any of the boards I just mentioned without saying I'm the son of the vice president of the United States," Biden replied.

Robach asked Biden if he thinks he would have gotten any of these prestigious positions if his last name weren't Biden, and he said he wasn't sure.

“ Hunter Biden pointed to his experience on the board of Amtrak..”

Because running a railroad that hasn’t made a profit in 30 years is such good experience and transfers seamlessly to a gas company in a foreign country.

Is this the Obama defense? “I only learned about my being on the Board in the newspaper.”

Actually, a board of directors is commonly made up of people who have expertize in various fields which may not be related directly to the specific business in this case natural gas.

But they do have either expertize in something, or they are there for other reasons, with political connections being at the top of the list.

After he left the Presidency Gerald Ford mad millions by sitting on numerous boards because of that. Someone has to want to believe the Biden appointment was legit to not see right through this sham.

This interview was a total whitewash so if it’s brought up again, they can say they covered it and we should “move on.”

I want to see the whole interview. With 1 liners like this, I am sure he did not do himself any favors.

Graduated law school in ‘96, “risen to the rank of executive vice president” of MBNA America a mere 2 years later.

Must have been one whiz of a student to get that high up in the firm, that happens to have been a huge campaign contributor to his dad’s campaigns.

I see Hunter inherited Gaff-a-matic mouth from his dad. A clear statement that the board was completely corrupt.

LMAO.....Therein lies the problem with chronically-insane libs. They always think they’re as smart as, or smarter, than anyone else...including those that are very experienced and educated in their fields. This a$$clown is an idiot. Without his old man, he’d be a skid-row drunk out behind shanty town.
