Perhaps the single biggest reason to host an event at Trump's own property is the same reason he rarely travels to his home at Trump Tower in New York City and instead spends his time in the NYC area out at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey: A G7 summit is a highly disruptive event and is likely to be an enormous, expensive pain in the ass for any town or county with a host facility.

The whole story is a pile of nonsense. For one thing, the event isn't even going to be held until next summer. Secondly, it's hard to take any claim about President Trump "personally profiting" from an event like this when he doesn't even accept the salary he is paid in office and is likely to be one of the only U.S. presidents in history to leave office less wealthy than he was before he was elected.

I heard the president has seen his net worth decrease by $400 million since he took the oath of office.

As Kickass Conservative mentioned in post # 34, the resort is being offered at cost. So there is no profit going to the president, a point the liberals conveniently ignore.

True, I wish the government would reimburse Trump for all of his legal expenses associated with the Russian Hoax and the Ukraine Hoax and any other Hoax that the democrats think up.
