“I really can not understand the madness of WWII and the insanity of the lack of humanity at the time.”

It lives in each and every one of us. Though we rarely, if ever, admit it. We all have a monster inside.

All of us.

I’ve been an avid student of history my whole life (my college degree is in History); and I’ve said for many, many years that savagery and barbarism are mankind’s natural inclination, and that peace and tranquility are aberrations. So sad; so very, very sad.

I guess I’m not one of those “glass half full” kind of guys.

The Nazis come in a poor third in the mass murder category. How many movies have been made about the two top contenders? Where is the Chinese or Russian Schindler? The actual perpetrators of the Katyn Forrest massacre were still receiving their pensions into the 1980s. Compare the Lidice massacre the incident at Horni Mostenice.  These trials for “crimes” committed by teenagers are getting old. They are not done in the pursuit of justice but to keep this issue alive. This is a good purpose but why neglect far greater crimes.
