My concern is that people will get use to frequent power outages and that is one step closer to rationing power as a solution to global warming. It will train (coerce?) people to use less power, too.
The problem in the past was while the eco-fruits went on campaign to limit harvesting the forest products industry sat on their hands OR actually assisted the eco-fruits in their agenda.
Now why in the hell would they do that? Because Weyerhaeuser, G-P and the rest, knew that the public forests were actually competitors and that if harvesting was limited on those lands, the value of their forest resources would increase.
