Good points. Now they want their antics to hurt Trump’s numbers but it won’t work. In fact, it’s helping his numbers and drawing in new supporters and firing up the base more than ever.

Besides, there are no grounds for impeachment. Their phony charges haven’t worked and won’t work then.

In short, I don't know who the nominee will be. Carter, Mondale, Dukakis, Gore, and Kerry are all available. Carter is the only proven winner in the bunch but he's even older than Bernie.

Rush Limbaugh says they have no intention of having a vote on impeachment. Because, as soon as they do, assuming they have the majority for it, it would then leave the House and go to the Senate. At which point they will no longer control the narrative. No more secret meetings, no more excluding the Republicans, no more cherry-picked leaked content.
The Republicans and Trump can bring in anyone, positive or negative, to present evidence. And if McConnell and Trump choose to do it, they can make this last a long time. ( I don’t think they will.) But this Senate trial could be very negative and uncomfortable for the democrats.
There is no such thing as a moderate Democrat. It is not going to quietly die.

It’s not going to go anywhere, either. It’s going to go aimlessly on and backfire on the Dems.
Some think the Dems waste vast amounts of time through inefficiency and laziness. Enormous effort and elaborate planning are required to waste this much time.
It’s pretty damned inconvenient to have to wait for actual high crimes and misdemeanors.
