While speaking to reporters on Monday, Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) stated that acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney admitted that the Trump administration held up funding to Ukraine partially due to a desire to have Ukraine carry out an investigation regarding the 2016 election and holding up funds to fulfill a political purpose is a real problem.
Romney said, Obviously, what he said in the press conference was of real concern. Because he said, in effect, that they were holding up funding going to Ukraine, in part based upon a desire to have Ukraine carry out an investigation with regards to the 2016 election. And holding up funds to a foreign nation, particularly one thats under military threat, in order to fulfill a political purpose is a real problem.

Pierre Snittbeaucoup should go into hiding.
Pedo Delecto.
Ruthless. I love it!
Mitt Romney is, without a doubt, a creep.
Excellent idea.
Great.
yes shut up NO-mney!
So apparently you can't talk to other countries about THEIR obligations? We have a Corruption Treaty with Ukraine approved by the Senate and signed off By Bubba in 1998.
And remember, the new President of Ukraine ran almost totally on "Getting Rid of Corruption".
Quid pro quo is the new "is".
It’s not “for a political purpose”, and disgraceful Mitt Romney should know that.
Massive crimes have been committed, and are ongoing. These crimes include but are not limited to treason, bribery, seditious conspiracy, tortious interference, and many others.
The President is obliged, under Article II, to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed”. In this case, this includes soliciting by any means at hand information material to prosecuting and convicting the criminals in the possession of foreign governments.
Sad to say. I voted for this strunze back in 2012 too and had a picture of him in my man cave. I have torn it to shreds and threw it in the trash. No image or trace of any traitor shall be in my home.
I hear iSnarlys available for another quixotic VP run.
Just keep the trapdoor handy.
I voted for Romney and donated to his campaign and had his sign in my front yard. I remember being utterly depressed on election night in 2012. I listened to Mahler’s depressing Ninth Symphony twice through and could not get to sleep that night. I now see that Romney as a relief from Obamunism was a complete illusion. And let’s not forget who hie running mate was. That GOP ticket should live in infamy.
I concur with you. That is why Trump had to come in because the whole system was rigged to ensure that the NWO agenda was advanced.
Commie Rats like Romney would never ever do anything like that. . . .
When did Utah legalize “medical” marijuana for political purposes?
Who was the “Pierre” character oh so many years ago on “Huckleberry Hound”? Maybe someone can make an NPC using “Powerful Pierre” for Pierre Delecto?
Sorry Mitt, but it is and ought to have been a U.S. government purpose, recognized by whomever is currently the U.S. president, to ask the new government of Ukraine to look into affairs in Ukraine that appear to have included Ukraine officials involved in, interefering on one side or the other in the U.S. presidential election of 2016. Yes, the U.S. government RIGHTLY wants to know if the current Ukraine government understands that and is looking into it.
The fact that that shenanigans was attempting to go against the sitting U.S. president is not as relevant or material to the matter. What went on in Ukraine and with Ukraine officials with regard to one of the paries in the U.S. presidential election was wrong and ought to be investigated. That is not about “politics” any where near as much as it is about proper and improper realtions between the governments of the two nations.
Is there some reason that just because Donald Trump was the target of the shenanigans that therefor Donald Trump, now head of the U.S. government, has no right or obligation to make the inquiry he did? No, none whatsoever.
In fact, to me, as head of the U.S. government Trump had an obligation to not ignore what went on. He had a governmental obligation to ask what he asked of Ukraine’s new leadership.
Mitt. You are about as real as your dyed hair/gray temples.....
Yeah right at 72 your hair is black.
Just come out an change your affiliation to D. You talk and act like one anyway
If somehow you think those of us who voted for you as an alternative to Barry O would vote for you if Trump were removed you are truly delusional....
His name is now Pierre. Trump should call him this anytime he refers to him.
I’m sure of something like maybe I should name him French Ambassador as he has the right first name.
The Donald threw one quick shot at his on his interview last night. I’m sure more are coming and we will be there cheering him on.
