In days past that seemed to be true, or at least there was some pretense of gravitas and ethics. Now there is none.
Congress is a joke but what does that say about the people who put them there?

Yeah they are just a symptom of a larger problem.
#1. Many 32-year-olds today — being Millennials — are like 12-year-olds in their sense of entitlement and “the rules don’t apply to me” outlook.
#2. I rate Hill as about a 0 on a scale of 1 to 10 on the looks scale.
#3. It’s obvious she has no sense of propriety or ethics. You can’t hire the help and then enter into a sexual relationship with them, whether man or woman... and in this case, Hill did both (no pun intended). No matter her personal views on the subject, there’s an objective power disparity and the Throuple Girl was in the subordinate position.
#4. If Hill had any sense of how truly wrong her behavior was she’d resign immediately. But she won’t. Because double standards. And if it wasn’t for double standards, Democrats wouldn’t have any standards at all.
Ethics, morality, integrity and standards of behavior are in very short supply in this country now. Some might even say disappearing altogether.

Yes it is a major ethical breach but she will get off Scott Free because she is a bi-sexual and (most importantly) a Democrat.
Oh, and because the Democrats are in the majority of the House at the moment.

Reading any texts, they all sound like a mindless bunch of horny teenagers. Erm, K?
The party of human sacrifice sees nothing wrong with this. It fits in just fine with their values. On the other hand, if it was a Republican, they would be vilified. This is, in reality, a country with two sets of rules. The Republicans, with traditional values, who are held to strict standards of conduct, both personally and professionaly. And the democrats, whose values are rapidly eroding, and hold themselves to no standards. Their only standard is “the ends justify the means”.
She’s openly a pervert, so why is blackmail seen as a potential problem? Her values alone should be the red flag telling voters she is not qualified to be a lawmaker. Of course, a lot of voters being very stupid...
The core problem in a democracy is people vote for representatives who are 'just like them'...
