Oil doesn’t mean what it did under Obamadork. We have plenty, let the Euroweenies worry about foreign oil, they need it. We don’t.

It appears that I left out a word and appeared to shoot the messenger. I apologize to Navy Patriot for blaming him for posting the trash in the article.

Nuts, I can't recall the missile now ...

This is illustrative of the pretzel logic of the Neocons.

We gifted all this oil to Syria, which just happens to be Syrian oil.

These people make me sick.

If Congress - or their masters - want the oil, they will have to declare war on Syria.

That is, after all, their job.

We could use that here. Our price of gas should be a buck.

I have heard reports that WE only had about 100 ‘troops’ in Syria. (no telling how many SpecOps etal).

It is ‘amazing’ that we threaten to pull ONE HUNDRED troops from the area and it ‘invites’ Turkey & Russia in.

I realize that if a direct ‘onslaught’ against our 100 would have resulted in a fierce retaliatory strike BUT we are led to believe that 100 US Advisors held the Turks and Russians at bay and disrupted ISIS etal....

100 SUPERMEN....

Either internationally recognized borders are respected or they're not.

Agreed.

And it works both ways. Invading with the purpose of destroying a nation, can and did result in that nation winning, and taking a piece of the invaders former land.

The lesson is stay on your side and leave your neighbor alone.

...long-time Syrian enemy Bashar Al-Assad...

Funny... I cannot find Al-Assad's name on my 15-page "Enemies List"...
(Although the listing for "all jihadists and enablers" may include him...)

If it's not under the subsection "Ophthalmologists", it's probably not there.

Freerepublic really should, if possible without too much work, add an option where you can see which FReeper added the different keywords.

They have always been used for agitprop, but increasingly it seems some people only use keywords to “communicate” and do not engage in actual conversation..

There is a long line of them. Going way back... But, at least the people from the 2003 Iraq conflict are still around too.

Also oil it seems:

The following year, the Petroleum Council of Israel’s Ministry of Energy and Water Resources secretly awarded a drilling license covering half the area of the Golan Heights to a local subsidiary of New Jersey-based Genie Energy Ltd. headed by Effi Eitam.[221][222]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golan_Heights#Oil_and_gas_exploration

Who is this mysterious Genie Energy group?

Genie Energy’s Strategic advisory board is composed of: Dick Cheney (former vice president of the United States), Rupert Murdoch (media mogul and chairman of News Corp), James Woolsey (former CIA director), Larry Summers (former head of the US Treasury), Bill Richardson (former Governor of New Mexico, ex-ambassador to the United Nations and United States Energy Secretary)[2], Michael Steinhardt, Jacob Rothschild,[3][2], and Mary Landrieu, former United States Senator from Louisiana.
