How many 9th and 2nd are due for a floor vote?

Also, where do we stand on the DC Circuit?

There are currently 8 circuit nominees pending. 3 for the 9th, 2 for the 2nd, 2 for the 11th and one for the 5th.

One for the 2nd and 9th have been voted to the floor.

There are no vacancies and thus no pending nominees for the DC curcuit.

Confirmation this week was for a vacancy in Kentucky. New vacancy opens up in Minnesota.
Appointements still needed in 21 states.
Four nominations have been reported out of committee this week: 2nd Circuit (CT), 9th Circuit (OR) and two District Courts (PA and FL).

The DC circuit is getting to be like SCOTUS in the Age of Trump. Positions are so powerful and coveted the judges will not retire.

From my court guy Zen Master:

Judge Ed Carnes (11th Circuit) is assuming senior status when his successor is confirmed.

This means that Trump will appoint at least 52 circuit judges; he needs 4 more vacancies to occur (very possible) to be able to tie Carter’s term record of 56!

Aces!

I don't know for sure, but I think that Trump has appointed the majority of the Federalist Society folks that are eligible for Federal judgeships.

I'm going to do a scorecard eventually. I had more than 50 at last count.
