I agree! We went there as a family a couple of times- with a two year old! The shopping and food were great and the people you encountered were all smiles and full of goodness.

Then the poor figured out that they were bribed by the police and politicians so they got in that also. Drugs became a prime export and neighbors were paid by the drug farms to guard against on-lookers. A local hunter went down to help count deer using his plane and never has been seen again- man and plane. A SUV of us drove down from San Diego one day and got on a beautiful rugged dirt mountain road. A man flagged us down and told us NOT to go more down that road or we’d run into armed guards. We turned around and then found another viewpoint and saw a valley of warehouses and green crops!! We got back to the USA in a shake!!
Friends who love Mexico (and it is pretty on the coast) had two homes in Puerto Vallarta. When they sold the last one to move to the USA, the bribes by the local govt. were huge even though they sold to other Americans! Finally, their liberal minds got their pocketbook stolen and saw the light!

Hubby and I will not go to Mexico and give them one peso!!

Sad, but that is what causes a downfall and it’s here in TX. also. The poor are blind to benefits and government perks and don’t know that they are the ones that get hit the worst...unless they leave to another decent God-fearing country....oh, wait...!!!

Mexico is the last place I would go on vacation.

A friend’s shirt tail relatives live in northern Mexico, young couple and 3 toddlers. They decided to take their nice 4WD truck up to the border to see somebody. On the way narco’s or some other bad guys pulled them over, dumped them all by the side of the road (in the desert) and took the truck. The family was told “The only reason we didn’t kill you all was because of the kids.” And they had to walk hours into the nearest town.

Other Mexican friends have told similar stories, of relatives disappearing, unsafe travel ... we can’t even imagine.

I can see why they want to come to the US but don’t like them just showing up with their hands out.

None of our Hispanic friends are on welfare. All extremely hard workers and proud of being that way. I think if Mexico was lawful and peaceful they’d go back. Most of them do NOT like northern winters!
