Despite impeachment hysteria suffusing every nook and cranny of the media, despite scare headlines that tell us Trump is on his way out the door, and despite being instructed what to believe by arrogant pundits on TV, it may surprise you to know that in several heartland states, a majority of people don't support impeachment.
CNN:
In the context of the 2020 presidential election, we need to be looking to swing state polling to see how impeachment may play out on the campaign trail. The polls indicate that impeaching and removing Trump in these pivotal states is far from a slam dunk.
Wisconsin, of course, was the most infamous swing state of 2016. It was the tipping point state (i.e. the one that put Trump over the top in the electoral college). When the most accurate pollster in Wisconsin (Marquette) in 2018 reveals that impeaching and removing Trump is not popular, it's a critical finding.
Importantly, it's not just this Marquette poll that show that impeaching and remove Trump could be an electoral loser for Democrats (and potential winner for Trump) in the swing states.

The topic this morning with many of us is that we are getting really pissed at the Democrats and their aberrant comportment. It hasn’t reached a tipping point but if the Democrats keep it up it will and it won’t be pretty for the Democrats and liberals.
Right. How could it be simultaneously true that people want “impeachment and removal from office” at 54 or 55% BUT would vote for Trump and don’t care much about that impeachment stuff. Which is it?
Or do CA and NY count as “the USA” and the other states as statistical footnotes? That is, until the actual election.
Impeachment is a Stirling gift to President Trump. Pascale has conducted trump rally surveys which reveal that 26% to 30% of Trump rally attendees are registered democrats.
Not only does the heartland hold impeachment as unpopular, so do 30% of registered democrats.
Most of NYS is red bits. :-)

Yep. Working, tax-paying, regular, old-school folks in flyover New York. Hill country. They are not at all pleased by NYC proggie voters silencing them all the time. Theres a whole lot of good ol guys and gals in the state, and they like what PDJT is doing.
Well, a lot fewer. Upstate folks lead the bug out. Bet we lose at least another House seat and district after the next census.
Just like IL and CA.
Trump will win WI, MI and PA again and he will pick up MN.
Democrats are working hard to get him re-elected.
They should stop digging but they wont. The best enemy is the one in the process of destroying himself.
Onwards with impeachment. Tally ho!
rope-a-dope
that is all you need to know about what Trump is doing.
Trump hasn’t even “started” to fight back really. He took all the lefts best shots and they barely moved the polls. NOW it is his and the AG turn to turn the tables.
When Buck was indicted and arrested for murder, Schiff started these hearings. This whole circus is as much about Schiff trying to make it impossible to investigate him without it looking like just political persecution rather than about a real connection to Buck above and beyond Buck being a major donor.
Schiff is one sick, kinky, bastard and that's what he's desperate to hide, not his funding.
JMHo
when you try to kill the king, you had best not miss
now watch what Trump does to the libs, now that they missed!
Sounds like a nasty worded memo from the GOP. In other words, all talk and no action to date.
Living in a Red area of CA, I sympathize. Went to Cooperstown five years ago, and was pleased to see all of the anti Cuomo signs. Realized driving to JFK, that one square mile of NYC negated all of the good sentiment I saw in Red NYS.
and the impeachers are not popular in the heartland either. Democrats need to remember that before they start voting the way Pelosi and her friends tell the to. IMPEACH 45 and WE GONNA IMPEACH THE “MOFO”
“Wisconsin, of course, was the most infamous swing state of 2016.”
Agreed,
People ask me
And I tell them,
“Impeach the MF’er!”
.
spit.

I know a LOT of Libs (can’t help it living where I do) and not a single one is calling for President Trump’s head.
And these are life-long Dems, Union Goons and Nancy Boys barely making it in Real Life.
