The House voted along party lines on Thursday to approve a resolution that lays out the next steps in the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump – moving the investigation that so far has largely unfolded behind closed doors out into the open.
The stage was set for a full House vote on the procedures after members of the House Rules Committee on Wednesday evening finalized the resolution that sets the groundwork for public hearings, handling of testimony and the calling of witnesses.
The investigation since House Speaker Nancy Pelosi launched the inquiry last month has been happening behind closed doors on Capitol Hill where members of a number of House panels have been interviewing witnesses.
Republicans have objected to the secret hearings, saying they are being deprived of fully participating in the inquiry and claiming Democrats are leaking testimony that bolsters their allegations against Trump.
Democrats says Trump abused his power when he urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to begin an investigation into Joe Biden, the Democratic presidential candidate.
The July 25 phone call between the two leaders was revealed in a whistleblower’s complaint that surfaced in August.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) blasted the resolution as a “sham process.”
“Trying to put a ribbon on the sham process doesn’t make it any less of a sham,” Jordan said.
He blasted Rep. Adam Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, for his handling of the impeachment process so far in closed-door hearings.
“What does this resolution do? Gives him even more power to run this secret proceeding in the bunker in the basement of the Capitol,” Jordan said.

Withdraw all funding for the House of Representatives, and cancel all paychecks to Democratic Members of Congress and their staff. Cut off all utilities to the House Chamber. Put them on planes back to their districts. Place all Democratic Members of Congress on the No Fly List.

So far the only thing I’ve heard or read is that all them anti-Trump folks have construed their “opinion” of the phone call as “evidence” of “something”.
Either this unprecedented partisan process will destroy the psycho leftists or it’ll embolden them to adopt their insane kangaroo court proceedings as the new normal. A new normal that the Republicans shall never be allowed to use (not that they would).
Many of them need to be tried and imprisoned for sedition before then. They are enemies of America and need to be held accountable.
The witch hunt becomes official on Halloween.

For now, this is all good. The dems are on record with 2 defections, the repubs hung together, its not an impeachment vote so Trump is still not tarnished. The voters will have their say very soon. Nothing here keeps POTUS from pressing onward.
Dems are playing high stakes poker with empty hands. They will lose playing this way.
Now lets see some indictments from Durham’s investigation and watch Schiff and Nancy crap in their “Depends”.
What “High Crime and/or Misdemeanor” are they accusing the President of? What did Trump do that is illegal? The Constitution is pretty specific on this.
This hearing was nothing more than fodder for their comrades in the media to be able to report this as “official”. It’s all a lie.
This impeachment is like a sentencing hearing where there has been no grand jury, no charges filed, no indictment, no arrest, no trial and no conviction. But we are going to punish the accused?
Anybody who still supports democrats is either too stupid to be part of a self governing republic or pure evil that promotes slavery.
We should have a list of those RINOs that voted for this. They need to receive some emails.
