I have a lot of sympathy for the Ukrainians but, as I understand it, Russia was faced with a situation where Russia piped into Ukraine a certain amount of gas to be transited through Ukraine to Europe. A very significant amount less than 100% of that gas actually got through to Western Europe. These new pipelines are the Russians; efforts to deal with that thievery. I can’t blame them.
That and extortrinate transit fees. Headline is a coded message to Democrats: do something about it or we’d have nothing to pay your kids on boards with anymore.
