Smuggling gangs in Mexico have continuously sawed through President Trump’s controversial border wall using every day power tools, according the U.S. agents and officials with knowledge of the incidents.
The security breaches, made with a popular cordless reciprocating saw that can sell for less than $100, has been used to open gaps large enough for people and drug loads to filter through.
When fitted with 'specialized' blades, the tool can break through one of the wall's steel and concrete bollards in just minutes.
The Washington Post reports that after slicing through a bollard, smugglers will push the steel out of the way, allowing an adult to fit through the opened space.

Well, if this is true than the engineers were either incompetent or they were told by some apparatchik of the deep state “fine, we can’t stop it but make sure it’s an ineffective joke”.
Old steel matting walls would be easier. The idea of any wall is to delay until officers can get there.
This is why the wall needs to be electrified.
It would be so much better if they could simply walk across the border.

A $100 reciprocating saw is going to cause you fits trying to cut through steel and concrete that thick. It can be done but it’s not going to be quick. It will give the feds a couple hours to stop it.
Yet, now pictures of this apparent damage. Why??? Until they are filled with concrete and rebar, they will be vulnerable. They are designed to take 30 minutes to get through, no more, allowing a reasonable response time.
Someone should ask the WP to demonstrate how it is done...
Man, I’ve been preaching landmines for the past 10 years here on FR and they dont want to listen..
We will notice that WaPo reports (no pics of course) and the other MSM rags pick it up and echo the words from WaPoo. Of course any structure is subject to dedicated smugglers with tools. The object is to slow them down to give time for a response. Vastly superior to the previous vehicle barriers which could be breached at will. There will be some upgrades as the cat and mouse game progresses.

You people fall for this shit every time...
Through all the articles concerning the “sawing” through the trump Wall, none mention whether or not the smugglers were actually “successful” in getting their contraband across the border.
It’s one thing to cut a few bars on the Mexican side of the two level fence, it’s quite another thing in getting through to the American side of the fences and successfully getting away. If T rump’s Wall resulted in the criminal’s getting rounded up, then Trump Wall is a success!
