To: a little elbow grease

I’ve written this before. I was traveling from Atlanta to New York on a Delta Air Lines aircraft, after POTUS, Jimmy Carter has finished his POTUS term, The flight attendant got on the PA system and announced that Ex-POTUS, Jimmy Carter was on this flight and, he had requested to walk through the cabin and greet and say hello to passengers traveling with him, before the aircraft took off for JFK Airport in NYC.

I hated Jimmy Carter....politically...but when he came down the aisle shaking hands, I remembered what my father told me when I was a young lad. He had said to my brother and I, that if we ever came in contact with someone like a POTUS.....we should be polite and treat them with respect and dignity, even if we disagreed with them.

So...when POTUS Carter came to my aislw I looked him straight in the eye and spoke with authority...saying God Bless You Mr.President...and the POTUS responded with: God bless you...son!!!

Nothing more needs to be said!!! I am happy that the Nationals are headed to the White House. For one...it is the right thing to do and, our current POTUS was once quite the ballplayer himself...he knows the game inside and outside. I rooted for the ASTROs...but...the team (the Nationals) with heart & purpose won!!!

Congratulations, World Champions of Baseball, Washington Nationals. And as to your White House visit...the entire country will love you for doing the right thing!!!
