I live not very far from this town. I have taught my wife to become very familiar and comfortable with the 12 gauge autoloader we keep in our home.
It is currently configured as short barrel weapon for in home defense.
She is a petite oriental woman 5’1” tall and, reluctantly, has become quite comfortable with the weapon.
If ever needed any bad guys forcibly entering our home will be in for a deadly, bodybag surprise.
We do not keep this weapon Locked in a safe. It is readily available at all times and fully loaded in case of necessity.
The semi-auto shotgun is a great home defense weapon for the person not professionally trained. The primary limitation is the rounds allocated before reloading is needed.

That’s pretty heavy for a small person. Is it a Benelli or a Saiga or something different? I have a Saiga-12 but that thing is heavy, like a BAR. So of course it’s loaded with self-defense rounds and cycles about the rate of a BAR. But it won’t over-penetrate into the neighbor’s house.
A gated property and dogs are the primary defense. Never had issues but you never know. Lots of Yankee-Leftists moving down here now bringing their bad values and habits with. Scum-villany moving in.

Good. If you have to unlock your weapon and go to another room for ammo, you will not survive. Remember, the rules of keeping a firearm and ammo in different places were made up by liberals who don’t mind seeing you dead.
