Well, the people of Seattle have spoken and what they’ve apparently said is that they want more socialists on the city council. The sure sign of this is that after an election that looked grim for council member Kshama Sawant on election night, she has now taken a narrow lead over her opponent:

Re: Vote by mail was designed to facilitate massive fraud.

I read a front page election article in the Seattle Times this afternoon.

The Socialist Asian-Indian woman had almost taken the lead after four days of counting.

The reporter wrote - without any reflection, curiosity, or insight - that “late ballots always seem to favor the Progressive candidates and measures.”

Mon Dieu!

Bezos is a liberal. He has himself to blame for keeping headquartered in Seattle. Some folks deserve what they get.
Seattle reminds me of Lord of the Flies with the progressive masses successively punishing their own for not being progressive enough. Eventually their hatred for business and their hateful envy of success will drive every job out of the city and they will all be living in their own feces in cardboard boxes.

It means they’re not centrists or moderates or whatever. They don’t know what they are so they have to define themselves; conservatives OTOH know what they are: conservative.

Not sure how voters in these cities think.

Progressive. That’s another word they’ve redefined.

“Progressive. That’s another word they’ve redefined.”

It won’t be long that they’ll need to come up with a new label. “Liberal” was replaced by “progressive” because it took on such a negative connotation that nobody wanted to be referred to as liberal. The same will happen to “progressive”.

Just curious, anybody every hear of a conservative that overcame an 8% deficit on election night to win an election???

I’m thinking that the liberals have a working game plan for all elections in the future.

A “Conservative” in Seattle is a Trotskyite.

“(a couple years ago the state made the tabs based on an inflated value of the vehicle - so $250 for a $11,000 car.)”

That is not state-wide. It is applicable basically to the Puget Sound light rail service area (including future expansion).

In eastern WA my tabs have crept up also — but none have reached even $100.
