In fact, their media enablers and co conspirators and setting themselves up for a similar takedown that is going to destroy any credibility they have

We KNOW that TV and MOVIES are not 'real'. Yet we watch them as if they were.

Reality sucks for many people. Most would rather believe what TV and the MOVIES (and new the INTERNET) give them.

Walking out would be touted by the media and seen by the public as a cowardly admission of guilt.

Trump wouldn’t stand for it and neither should we. Give up? Never.

Shame them. Force them to concede or, at least, change the subject. Time is running out. Election is coming.

There’s a thought lingering in the back of my mind that I haven’t posted here before, but after reading a few other articles and links this morning I figure it’s worth mentioning it.

Schiff knows damn well that he has to tread very carefully here because he has no idea what evidence the Trump administration can release on short notice that will torpedo any formal charges the Democrats bring against the President. This should have been obvious to us when the White House caught the Democrats off guard and released the notes from the Trump-Zelensky call. But it’s even more relevant now because I’ve seen some interesting rumors this morning that the White House is sitting on ANOTHER “transcript” from a different (earlier) phone call between U.S. and Ukrainian officials that will completely destroy Schiff’s while case.

Wouldn’t that be something else. LOL.

“I doubt Schiff/Pelosi will allow any on the list to testify, but this will give Nunes, Radcliff and Jordan substantial material to demonstrate to anyone watching that the hearings and impeachment are a sham.”

Almost certainly Schiff will deny the request for these witnesses. The real test is if the Senate will insist these witnesses appear for the trial and if Republican Senators will conduct a rigorous public interrogation of these witnesses at the Senate trial. If not, Romney has likely secured the 20 Republican votes needed for conviction in the Senate.

If Schiff vetoes anyone from the GOP witness list Cocaine Mitch should peremptorily dismiss the impeachment charges after the House votes for impeachment. Then tell them to go back and do it fairly if they want it to go forward. Meanwhile IG FISA and CI reports will drop. Then Durham will begin to release indictments. If Dems want to drag this crap out until November they are welcome to do so.

“I think I’ve read that Schiff also has the ability to block questions.”

That’s what he did behind closed doors.
Dare him to try that tactic in full view!

...If you are a witness in a legal proceeding you can only cite constitutional protections to avoid answering questions — which is pretty much just either pleading the Fifth Amendment protection against self-incrimination, or citing lawyer-client privilege.

There was a story yesterday about a fellow serving a life sentence, who had a deathly medical experience, claimed he had died and came back to life, so tried to get released on that basis. Young Biden is a lawyer, so maybe he can claim he is acting as his own attorney... lol.

Oh yes they can and they will. They will say something like none of the requested Republican witnesses have any relevant information to the subjects being investigated and are just efforts to “Grandstand”. That may not be verbatim, but it will be close to their reasoning for denying the Republican list of witnesses. Rush will have a good time with this next week.

I wouldn’t hold my breath for the Senate. That’s why it’s imperative to get as much mileage out of the House hearing and shut it down like was done to Müller and the other clowns.

I’d like to find out who approved of, and who modified, the Whistle Blower complaint form to allow 2nd hand witnesses to file the complaint, AFTER Charlie Mella had already contacted the schiff cabal.

SNOPES and FACTCHECK.ORG emphatically state that the INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY did NOT approve/modify the form to allow 2nd hand witnesses to file a complaint.

So, the answer to your question is, without a single doubt, THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY.

<Scary that this cretin was a prosecutor. Makes me wonder how many innocent people he railroaded into the big house

Probably just the ones who wouldn't go with him to visit "UNCLE BUCK".

Seems to me that Schiff is in a pickle here.

Not allowing the witnesses makes him look like not only unfair but like there is actually truth to the entire Ukraine extortion investigation. Allowing the witnesses will give opportunity to Nunes and Jordan to get the truth out in their questioning......

And not only in criminal prosecutions, as some nit-pickers will allege. The SCOTUS has repeatedly said that these due-process rights also apply between the branches of govt.

Course, that also begs the ?: Why isn’t the (R) wing of the Uniparty screaming those sources from the roof-top. /rhetorical

Of course Schiff-for-brains won’t allow these witnesses but it will allow the Senate Republicans some cover when they call these witnesses at the actual trial. The GOP can say “the House Republicans asked for these witnesses but were disallowed by the partisan Democrats.”

Romney hasn’t secured any POTENTIAL vote against Trump that wasn’t already there before he was elected. That means Murkowski and Collins, and that’s it.

Romney fights his battles by posting Twitter messages under a fake French name, and by writing op-ed pieces in the CIA propaganda rag known as the Washington Post. President Trump is winning his PR battle by holding 10-minute long impromptu press conferences outside the White House every few days before boarding Marine One to travel somewhere. His presser this morning was epic. He flat-out called Schiff and Pelosi “corrupt politicians,” and you can be damn sure Romney would wither in his shoes if that kind of attack was leveled against him.

Mitt Romney is a two-time loser in presidential campaigns. At the age of 72 he is the junior senator from one of the most inconsequential states in the U.S. I’m honestly surprised he hasn’t resigned and embarked on a suicide mission with a Mormon cult in Mexico yet.

If Trump can’t fire the whistleblower can he at least be re-assigned as his envoy to Kabul?
