Guess Who Was Called a ‘Fascist,’ Back in the Day

Bigotry. Fascism. A threat to women’s rights. Alliances with foreign dictators. A president as entertainer, trampling labor and the environment.

It sounds like the contemporary complaints against President Trump.

Actually, it’s a 1984 newspaper advertisement from “Scholars Against the Escalating Danger of the Far Right.”

“With Ronald Reagan as its performing star in the White House, the Far Right is attempting to take over the Republican Party,” says the ad, published in the November 2, 1984, New York Times and signed by, among others, Carl Sagan, Linus Pauling, Corliss Lamont, Stephen Jay Gould, John Hope Franklin, Gloria Steinem, and Frances Fox Piven.

“Four more years of Reaganism...would see a sweeping attack on civil liberties. Four more years of Reaganism would also bring us closer to a nuclear Holocaust. Unlawful intervention in Central America threatens us with a new Vietnam,” the ad claims.

They will trot out much worse in the coming twelve months. The media onslaught against The President is going to be like nothing we have seen before.

The reprehensible Carl Sagan also helped birth the AGW myth. Thanks Rummyfan.

The paranoia of the Red Left. They were panicked that Ronnie Reagan was going to start a nuclear war.

Their bloody Soviets almost DID launch a mutually assured destruction attack in 1983 because of a faulty sensor reading.

And still today in British documentaries (that aren’t even political) about “Reagan-Thatcherism”.

And yet it was FDR that was copying the policies of Benito Mussolini.

And yet it was LBJ that was copying the policies of Adolph Hitler.

The ungodly Left is more openly evil now than in President Reagan’s day. This is war to preserve freedom for our children and grandchildren. Speak up. Stand up. Do not give up your birthright because of cowardice or weakness. And above all, pray for God’s forgiveness and mercy.

Stalin called Trotsky a fascist collaborator: standard Marxist tactic for labeling the enemy.

Oh, all of that phony calling of fascism as “far right” when it is nowhere near the right.
“God does not exist—religion in science is an absurdity, in practice an immorality and in men a diesease.”

“What does ‘social justice’ mean? It means work guaranteed, fair wages, decent homes; it means the possibility of continuous evolution and improvement. […] As the past (19th) century was the century of capitalist power, the 20th century is the century of the power and glory of labor.”

“When the war is over, in the world’s social revolution that will be followed by a more equitable distribution of the earth’s riches, due account must be kept of the sacrifices and of the discipline maintained by the Italian workers.” …

— Benito Mussolini
Fascism is left-wing, and indistinguishable from communism down to its denial of God’s existence.

Bingo! FDR entire Presidency was a Fascistic response to the economic disaster that all of his machinations of govt. paid to lean on a shovel patronage jobs could not correct.

The very definition of fascism— and there is such a thing as Leftist Fascism. Mark Levin, among others has talked about this extensively. It is why, for example, the shock troops of the Leftists/socialists, who bill themselves as the Anti-FA as anti-fascists, are, in reality Leftist Fascists who would and do find easy affiliation with Communists (and the ocasio cortez Sandinista Leftist commies who are pushing the dems right off the ledge).

Who are the real fascists? Anyone who wants bigger, more powerful government, no matter what for. Liberals will say we need a bigger government to free us from ‘inequality’. Does it matter to a slave if he’s equal to the other slaves?

FDR called Mussolini “that admirable Italian gentleman”. He also said that he was impressed by what Mussolini has accomplished in Italy.
